I am about to buy one of these from a friend. They have had it a while but virtually unused. They are going to give me a sim card but how do I get a number. Will there be one on the sim card.

I'm a total technophobe with these. ive only ever bought new ones lol which Ive had no problem with.

    Yes, if the sim is still active. Hope it's a PAYG sim.

    Do you not have any mobile number ATM? If you do, and the new phone is unlocked or locked to the same network, you can use your old sim with the old number in the new phone.
