I'm not sure what those links add to the debate?
Well take time to read them and maybe you might understand that people are finding it hard to open accounts, Dojoman asked to be pointed in the direction of these posts well here they are.

Coop have just confirmed that they will not accept accounts from people about to declare BR or people who are undischargedIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0

that announcement was made last September and the advice given on here is to open the account prior to br and no need to mention the possibility of br in the future, nothing has changed.0

Coop have just confirmed that they will not accept accounts from people about to declare BR or people who are undischarged
You have stated what everybody on this forum has know since last year!
Nothing has changed, nothing prevents anybody applying for, and opening, a Cashminder account with Co-op!
Providing [as is already common knowledge]....the applicant....is NOT an Undischarged BR!
There is no such 'official' situation as ''about-to 'declare'-BR''! [the individual does not 'declare' BR. The individual petitions the Court for bankruptcy..the Court grants the petition.]
Therefore, until the Judge stamps the petition, BR does not exist.
It's the same with Divorce. One can go around saying 'I am going to get divorced'....but one is not actually divorced, for all legal purposes, until the Nisi & Absolute are granted.
In the same way, the intention of becoming a BR can be reversed right up to the very last moment......when the Judge asks 'are you sure?'
A BR petition can be refused by the Court.....what then? How can one be 'about' to become BR, if the Court itself refuses to grant the petition?
Applicants for Co-op Cashminders , who are not actually Undischarged BR....and who have had their applications refused, have other reasons for that refusal.
Often, the Applicant is unaware of the ability to get the Adviser to 'appeal' the computer decision [for that is essentially what it is]....No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
