First Trust £100 switching offer

Well if First Trust are as good as Halifax then you will have no problems, just £100 extra in your account.

As good as Halifax??! You mean in general or ref the £100? Coz if it's in general I always said I wouldn't go near them ever again. But the idea of getting £5 off them for nothing every month will slowly make up for the ridiculous bank charges they took off me years ago

As good, in relation to the switch I've experienced. I think it is 8 Direct Debits and 2 Standing Orders they have switched for me and the £100 was in my account before any of them were moved. The £5pm is just going to be an additional bonus.

Can't decide what to do, coz the 2x DDs bit is stumping me. Again. I'm struggling enough with the Halifax DDs...

PS. Just to confuse myself even more, Danske bank is offering £100 to switch now too!!!

Are they ?! That is good to know. I have pretty much missed out on the First Trust offer as I have been unable to get into a branch last week between 9:30 and 4:30, and the same applied this week. PLUS, the fact that when I called to book an appointment on the phone about a week and a half ago, the person I spoke to was both unfriendly and unhelpful, thus putting me off moving to them ! I have kind of agreed with myself that I would forget F.T. and perhaps go with the next 100 quid incentive available. If they're doing it, Dankse look to be a good enough option. . .

Don't forget First DIRECT give you £100 for switching to them - there's no cut off date -and they've always come top of Martin Lewis's customer service poll. I agree. I switched early this year and they're fab. :j
