2652 Phones4U earpiece not sound right?

I got this phone on offer from them. On clearance ofcourse. And the earpiece is not as clear as my N95 OR EVEN my Nokia 1600, my 1600 is quite sharp and clear but the 2652 is like as if the speaker is too loud or as if the plastic in the speaker has gone.

Obviously a comparison with N95 is out of its league but not the Nokia 1600

Anyone else with this phone notice this? Or is just the way the phone is?
