How long to wait?

... And that's exactly why service in this country is dreadful! We British are reluctant to complain about poor service which companies take full advantage of. But, as Martin Lewis always says, it shouldn't matter that you use discounts/take advantage of offers - if restaurants don't want to give you the discount, they shouldn't offer it. How much you pay shouldn't be reflected in the service.

It's amazing how many places treat customers this way. As a fan of Groupon/D2deals/local voucher books, I've lost count of the number of restaurants who have refused to book at table at certain times (despite no restrictions in terms and conditions) or will sit you near the door just because you have the audacity to use a voucher! Needless to say I have never returned to any of these places.
