fee to rejoin sky?

hi guys hope someone can help

I moved out of my rented house at the end of march and cancelled my sky package as I was waiting to exchange/complete on new house.

in the mean time I was staying with my parents and didn't know how long it was going to take to get into new place.

when I cancelled they said I could 'freeze' my account but would still charge me £21 pm - i didn't want this & they tried to say if I didn't do it this way when/if I try and rejoin when I moved I might be charged a fee to re join.

I still have the box and dish but new flat has communal dish so I don't need anything installed.

has anyone else done this recently and were you charged a lot to rejoin?
