Wife currently on sick. Sick note runs to Friday June 6th.
Maternity starts on Monday 10th June.
Does sick note need to run for Saturday and Sunday too or is it OK to end on the Friday?

I think (not an expert AT ALL) it would depend whether she normally works those days? If she just works M-F then I wouldn't have thought soUpdating soon...0

Is the sickness pregnancy related? If it is and is within 4 weeks of the expected week of childbirth then the sickness can trigger the maternity leave being brought forward. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Due date according to MATB1 is 10th July. Which is why, after being ill for some time, shes starting maternity on 10th June (she'd have to anyway).
In fact, baby is arriving now 12th June but, checking the rules, it seems only the original due date on MAT B form is relevant.0 -
Yes, I would say that it does, as otherwise there is the (unlikely) potential of her being put down to work the weekend prior to MAT leave starting. The MAT B1 gives the EDD which qualifying weeks etc are calculated on. The actual date of delivery will of course will vary from this in the vast majority of cases, but the EDD will not alter by the time in pregnancy when the Mat B1 is issued.0
