    Better to use the (clearly visible and presumeably clear) double yellows in any of those cases.

    Apart from being far more considerate, parking on double yellows is also a slightly less serious offence than wilfully obstructing the highway because it's usually dealt with by a fixed penalty rather than summons. and "proper" conviction.

    It's a Volvo, like BMW's they have the freedom to park anywhere they choose, at least the owner's think so ;)

    What really hacks me off is when people park in bays, like the one next to the car in the photo, and leave 3 quarters of a car length between their front bumper and the end of the bay.
    Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

    Yeah, that winds me up too, plenty of space for 2 cars, but they take up so much space a second car cannot get in :mad:
