Perhaps you need to go back to school
Ha ha, that's rich considering you seem to be unable to gasp the difference between claiming after a child is born and claiming whilst pregnant. I made it clear in my post that you would get more AFTER your child is born. Get your questions straight before you start accusing posters.
For your interest, I have spent many years in school. I made the choice to be university educated and gained experience before deciding to become a parent. This was rewarded with a salary that made it worthwhile working. Even when I became a single mum of two toddlers, I continued to work full-time. I am now a higher tax earner. It was worth it!0 -

This is a forum. I have the right to ask questions about benefits. If my questions slightly change so what? I am unaware and don`t have much understanding of the benefits system therefore I opened a new thread. Anyone can choose to give me info and if they don`t they don`t need to. It`s great your doing well and I get inspired by people who do well. You say I am accusing posters. Of what have I accused? If I am asking questions about benefits and adding that mothers should get support (while finding work - getting in to work programmes) and if some people are not understanding this and making an opinion about me - obviously there is a misunderstanding by some readers. Why does my question(s) rattle peoples cages. It is normal for a person to ask questions and gain knowledge.0 -
How is that any different than if you had worked for the past 3 years?
You'd have been paying childcare for 1 child which you're saying you couldn't afford.
But that would be the same as if you go back to work 6 months after the birth and work in school hours??
I know , that is why it would be great to have support with getting back to work and help with childcare. It will bring me to the workfront.I will be back to a tax payer. I think there are some posters who are not reading my posts. They are overlooking that I have worked 10 years. And when I was working for 10 years , I would like to add that I was not claiming any benefits.0 -

You'll get more benefits after the baby is born. You are not ill, you have made a lifestyle choice and therefore are not entitled to ESA, nor should you be.

Where are the insults??0 -

You mean financial support? I don't get it, you are now pregnant, started your thread about wanting to know what you could get for being pregnant, now you are moving the thread to wanting to know if you can get something for looking for work. Are you saying you intend to look for a job now?0 -

Fbaby,
Have you read my first post?
Please read my first post. Let me make it easy for you:
I am married, pregnant with my second child, have been a homemaker for 3 years.
My husband works full time and we get child tax credit, housing benefit and child benefit.
Am I entitled to some extra benefit, now that I am pregnant?
(A normal question for someone who wants to find out)
I do want to start work after 6 months
( A normal attitude to get back to work)
.....after my child is born and need some support, so can I apply for esa??
Will esa deduct my housing benefit?
Thank you.

Bottom line!
You cannot afford a second child without help from the taxpayer.
You have decided to get pregnant anyway because YOU want a second child.
Nice work!0 -

Esa if for the sick or disabled. Pregnancy is not a disability or illness, so no. You cannot claim ESA while pregnant or after the birth.0
