Heres another complaint of DFS and please be aware if they do this to you or not.
My father had recently gone to DFS to buy a sofa, which was a lot of money and he paid cash. They said they do not have the £1 change (bit stupid as most of their items are ending with £99. So my father said not to worry, its only a pound and went on his way.
A few weeks later, my father went back to DFS to buy another cushion thing for the sofa...this time it was £95, and he gave them £100. The salesman comes back, says 'we have no change'. So my father gave another £5 to have £10 note change. The best part of this was the salesman gave my father £10 in £5 note and £1 coins. Therefore, having change in the first place, and did not even apologise.
Don't listen to 'we don't have change' because they're lying. They do have change, but they want that extra money off you.
This has made me very angry and I will never shop with scamming DFS again, they're bad with everything else they sell and are just money-grabbing fools.
Imagine if they said this to everyone!

I would think that most people buying things from DFS would not be paying in cash so it is quite possible that they have no change sometimes

Find it very hard to take them seriously anyway, each week their "half price sale is now on" then its "dont miss the half price sale MUST end sunday",come monday and yes its the great DFS half price sale again.Do their management not realise just how ridiculous they look doing this all the time?0

Huh? there was a few weeks in between the visits - is this a valid reason to to never shop somewhere? Crikey, some people have too much time on their hands methinks...0

Second time ... Item was £95. Value tendered was £100. Told no change (i.e. no £5). Tendered value was £105; £10 change given as 1 x £5 note and 5 x £1 coins.
So they DID have £5 change.0 -
I am struggling to believe this is real LOL0

So they DID have £5 change.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
