I think a PAC code is what you would need if you wish to move your phone number to another provider. From memory, it has absolutely nothing to do with an upgrade. If your upgrade is due in July, it's only a month to wait. You could call them and ask if there is some urgency....Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

It's Porting Authorisation Code (PAC), not PAC code.
It lasts for 30 days and your current contract gets terminated when it's used for porting your number out.
If you don't use it the contract goes on regardless of any termination notice given earlier.
If you request it, you are likely to get contacted by the network's retentions team trying to stop you from leaving.0 -
