hi there, i am new to this forum and seeking a little advice. as you can see by the title of the thread.

i parked at the peel center stockport car park this year just gone 8 oclock at night. i was aware i should have bought a parking ticket but i never bothered. and off i popped in to toys r us with the missus. to get her little lad a birthday present, i was no more than 20 minutes.

anyhow about two weeks later a letter come through the post. demanding £60 from excel parking asking to pay within so many days, if i failed to do so it would amount to £100. so i decided to google the company. low and behold, thread upon thread appeared about this company and their threats and demands. and upon studying many a thread it says ignore so i did.

then a month and a bit later the second letter arrived demanding £100. ignored again. yet again a month and a bit later, today. i got another letter. this time of roxburghe debt collectors demanding i pay £160.
so i google them and more threads appeared about them and excel.
im sure readers of this will know where the rest of the story goes and what happens next. but i dont. and upon studying further post about them. i have read about being black listed and it affecting my credit history if i dont pay.

can you please help me and give me some peace of mind if this would happen? or should i have nothing to worry about and ignore anymore letter that come through?

has anybody seen this through. having received letter upon letter, and finally the companies have given up. and never heard from again.

any insight and info appreciated as im not sure what do to. or just to pay up. but moral of the story is i should just have paid the parking fee when i parked up to begin with.

many thanks.
ash

Now that was a pretty bad decision and not something to repeat of course. Doesn't mean you owe a scam third party any money though.

That's because nothing normally happens at all and the scam fizzles out like the letter chains thread shows (look under Excel for example threatograms):

Of course, that's how come we have the letter chains sticky thread showing all the letter chains, ignored by thousands of people for years and years!

You should play a nice game of snap with all the stupid threatograms headed up 'Roxburghe' and 'Graham White' as per the letter chains thread. Wait for it to fizzle out, takes a few months but it does stop.

Only post back for help if you actually get a rare 'small claim' from Northampton, which you must not ignore of course (unlikely - but never to be ignored). So for that reason do open all the letters and check they are just the usual Roxburghe and Graham White drivel.

If you had posted when you first got the fake PCN we could have helped you to appeal it - but you've left it too late for that. So ignore it now.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
