Broken phone before end of contract
Hi
I have dropped my Samsung Galaxy SII in water and it is broken.
My contract doesn't expire until September and I am able to upgrade from mid July. I was planning on upgrading to the S4 anyway and would usually let the contract run down until they call so I can negotiate a low price. However, I need a new phone as soon as possible, so I can't wait until July.
I know it is possible to buy out a contract but i would ideally like to just upgrade with vodafone. I know that if i call now they wont offer much of a discount and ill end up having to pay more than necessary.
Does anyone have any advice on how i can get an s4 at minimum cost?
Thanks in advance,
Josh

Can't you use a cheapy £10 phone for a month? It's not long to wait.Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
Mortgage 2: £270,000😱 Jan 2019 £253,000 April 20200 -
Buy a £10 basic handset and use it until your upgrade date.
OR try a third party company like phones4u, they sometimes buy customers out of contracts if you sign up to a new 24 month one with them0 -
I wouldn't wait for them to call, they probably never will. The contract won't end in September, it will continue until you cancel it0

Request a pac code and wait for a call back. I garauntee a callback. Retentions can upgrade you 6 months before renewal date. We do it all the time
Negoiate your price for the s4
I would say you want phone and insurance for 35 quid . Remove the insurance after a few days and hey presto you will be left with 25 quid tariff. And remember we can give 1 addon for free. So like minutes to 08 numbers or extra data.0 -

Remove the insurance? Sounds like he needs it after giving his S2 a swim!0
