House next to a level crossing...thoughts?

OH and I saw it and loved it. Needs modernising, but all cosmetic. But its next to a level crossing just along the line from the station. As the trains all stop at the station, the trains are slow moving and the EA had to point out when they were going past during the viewing as we never heard them. The crossing gives 1…

Have you spoken with neighbours? If you can't get there yourself, ask some of them (and nearby shopkeepers) for a bit of honesty.

You believe the EA? Probably not the best person to ask re something that might put you off the property. Definitely ask unbiased people whether the line is used for freight trains, etc.
