Didn't realise you could freeze butter.
Is it okay to use for baking once defrosted, or is it only good for spreading on bread?

It's fine for anything - and stores for a long while, too. I've found year old packs lurking at the bottom of a chest freezer that have been as good as new.0 -
Kerrygold is on offer at £1 a block in Morrisons at the moment, with a date in August on it. This is my favourite type as it is easily spreadable at cool room temperature.0
