Another ParkingEye one - sanity check...

Hi there, I've done lots reading and just wanted a sanity check re this.
I blatantly stayed for longer than I was supposed to in a retail park (3 hours 52 in a 3 hours free car park) so do I still appeal. I'm assuming the answer is yes to ParkingEye but will it work with popla?
The photos were taken on the way in and out and the only defence I have is that I was in McDonald's drive through and waiting for food for ages and driving round looking for a space for a while. The fine is £85 reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days. They have requested the driver details.
Thanks for your help.

I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be

Yes appeal to PE - but it won't work, so don't waste too much breath (or keyboard characters). Demand POPLA code if they are to reject your appeal.
You DO need to spend some serious time constructing a POPLA appeal. Forget about any mitigating circumstances B/S, unless you want a swift rejection. You've got to base it entirely on technicalities and legal aspects. Here are a number of links to get a feel for what and what not to put into a POPLA appeal.
But first things first before submitting your appeal to PE, check that their paperwork is PoFA and BPA CoP compliant here:

Yes it will win at POPLA if you take our advice on that appeal at that stage. DO NOT just send a normal appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I thought you were just to ignore these 'invoices' completely
Just got one in the post this morning, and after reading another thread, decided to completely ignore it and any subsequent reminders. Is this not the right thing to do? Thanks.0 -

OLD ADVICE. You read an OLD thread not one from recent weeks - not sure why people don't just reads the current threads and posts?
DO NOT IGNORE unless you are in Scotland/NI.
Read the current threads and if you need help with your challenge start your own thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
