Skyscanner aren't agents though for their main flights comparison as far as I can tell, you go straight to the airline site. Prices are the same if you go direct to the airline website.
So I usually use it as a good overview of what available and when.0 -

I keep getting Emirates and Turkish airlines as cheapest on comparison but when i go to their actual carriers websites and input details the price .... triples :eek:
When you phone them ,are the comparison staff using their own public website to get prices ? or is it their own internal non public system ?
(And none seem very proficient at inputting details in)0 -

The prices shown on 3rd party sites often aren't live, hence they may not match the actual price. That said, a 200% increase is pretty unusual. Which route are you looking at and which dates?0 -
Skyscanner gave TravelUp as having the cheapest prices for my flights.
I then booked two seats online with TravelUp with TurkishAirlines and thought the purchase had gone through for £436.13. However, I almost immediately received anemail saying "Thank you for booking with travelup.co.uk
The booking has not been created and your card is notcharged."
Also:
"Most likely reasons to are:
1. The Airline seats are not available.
2. The security measures in payment card might have stoppedthe booking process."
Further the email stated " Please don’t worry and callus immediately on 0118 955 6474 or 0118 955 6479 .... and we will try to makeyour booking manually in same or close to your required dates on same oranother airline in same price range.
I called the number and was informed that I could get thesame flights but the price had risen to £609.96.
I then paid for the seats via an email link sent by theperson I spoke to on the phone to TravelUp, using my credit card.
Next day TravelUp still offering the flights at the lowerprice on their website. On checking theTurkish Airlines web site I found I would have been better booking direct withthe airlinein the first place. So muchfor TavelUp claim about Air Travel at rock bottom prices.
On checking up on TravelUp athttp://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.travelup.co.uk I found I was not the first customer to bevery unhappy with TravelUp's ways of operating.
