    Yes, a chalet or caravan site is probably the way to go, but your final week or two (ie: once school holidays start) will be expensive.

    Hi all thanks for your advice.

    The house I am moving too is not a new build but I couldn't afford to lose the chain by waiting any longer.

    As it is I may have found the solution and this could be a good tip for others. I rang around the estate agents to see if they had any empty houses and was told they just sold one to a developer who is going to knock it down when he has planning to rebuild. I've spoken to him and he said I can stay there for a nominal amount.

    Although its a bit scrappy at least is has hot water and a cooker! I can cope with hat for a few weeks.
