I spent much less on reusable nappies and I think I'm in profit with all the selling and buying. If we are out for more than 6 hours than she is in disposables, I'm really not fussed about being strict with cloth nappies. Whatever works for you. Birdie, I started washables at 4-5 months, I run out of the supermarket and huggies freebies by than. Actually I wouldn't try it in the first weeks, just concentrate on her little baby rather than on the washing. Once you are in a sort of routine than think about it.

Probably the best idea with the limited drying space, a girl I know quit using hers because they lived in a flat where they could never dry them quick enough so they'd always smell a little weird. Which probably wouldn't help the cause with your OH!

Thanks for letting us come and take over your house with food! :D Glad you all liked my Grandma's chocolate cake too, even the "healthy" slices! I just liked how Grace went straight for the food

Sounds really complicated about the tax and I'm meant to know a little bit about these things for work! How's everything going with work, Tink? Has it cooled off any?

Do you have a receipt for the petrol? Any chance the card didn't work the first time so NIM had to put the pin in twice? Just that's happened with me before but it's been refunded automatically :)

    Morning all,

Good advise there from Kavics to leave it a few weeks till you are all a bit more settled. I know I struggled enough to get things dried when we were in the flat but some people do manage!

Hope you manage to sort out the petrol thing Dinah!

So think I have done my moneysaving for the day. Bumped into another mum from the nursery Friday and found out we should be getting a discount because of my OH's job. Just got an e-mail back from the nursery today and we can get 10% discount which is £80 a month! Just kicking myself for not asking about it before.

Found another decent money making app if anyone is interested? This one is for downloading and using apps for a minute (all "known" ones, like expedia, william hill etc) if anyone is interested let me know and I'll PM you le details.

Can you PM me it please Cinny.

    Good moneysaving there Wendz.

Lunch out today with a friend from Junior school I recently got in touch with again, which was nice but Grace was a DEMON. I knew she was tired but the food took ages to come and she just screamed, repeatedly hit her head off the table on purpose. she was okay when the food did finally come, briefly, but it was not an easy situation and certainly not a way to catch up with someone. She wouldn't nap when we came home either, finally going to sleep at 2pm, unfortunately so did I, so she slept till 5.10pm when I forcibly woke her, so likely to be up till the wee hours now.

Oooh sorry to hear Gracie was hard work today. :o She was lovely on Saturday though, you should be proud that you're bringing up such a sweetheart! :)

That's great news about the discount Wendz... shame it can't be backdated! Or can it?!?! ;)

Cinny, your new scheme sounds good, let me know the details. :)

Last night I had a surprise baby shower! :D OH knew how upset I was about being 'forgotten' so organised it with our Mums and my SIL to get people round to ours whilst we were out on a 'last date night' meal so they surprised me when we got back home! Was lovely... I always forget just how much OH loves me and he will genuinely do anything to make me happy- last night was such a reminder of this! :D He said it was so hard keeping it a secret too as he usually tells me everything so it felt really unnatural to keep it from me! :)

Went shopping with my friend this afternoon and she was soooo fast, I'm so tired after feeling like I was running around for 2 hours! In reality, we were probably going normal pace... but that's practically running for me nowadays! :o Got everything for my hospital bag now though so I can repack it with the mini essentials Cinny gave me (mwah!) then get it in the car. Eeek! Due 2 weeks today! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Oh no about Grace, they all have their off days and very difficult to chat when they are being like that.

That is so lovely of your OH to organise Birdie, what a sweetie!

Payday finally woohoo and Feb is a short month. Have managed to get my CC under £1k too which looks much better.

How is the maternity leave going Birdie?
