It might be worth signing on to JSA (income based)
Although because she is working she wouldnt get any money - but by being on an income based benefit she could then apply for the Sure Start Maternity Grant, and the Maternity Vouchers (used to be health in pregnancy). It is also possibly worth contacting your local council to see what they offer as a Crisis Loan alternative.0 -

She cannot sign on for JSA as she is working 16 hrs.0 -
How can people in this country be so cruel that they cannot find some space in their house for their own pregnant and vulnerable daughter ?
The government handouts are very generous towards pregnant women etc but to be thinking of getting rid of your own daughter when she needs you most is just so wrong.
I blame Labour for this. Values have dropped dramatically.
Well done for upsetting yet another poster asking for help, without knowing the full circumstances. I have just read through a number of your earlier posts and they are similarly unhelpful and usually critical. If you don't have anything constructive and useful to say why bother saying anything? Keep your overtly political rants to yourself. I just hope you don't ever need help some time in the future because even the good samaritan might pass on the other side while you try and fail to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps.0 -

Because she is virtually homeless and carrying his child?0 -

Can she up her hours or get another part time job? 16 hours is not alot of hours and certainly not enough pay to substantiate a life.
Also get her name on the housing list, you should get extra points for overcrowding.99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!Touch my bum :money:Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700SAVED =£0Debts - £28500 -
