http://www.fasthosts.co.uk/ are good too, also if you sign up under Mutual Points, you can get 20 pounds cashback, they cost from 2.95 so your cashback could last you 6-7 months.

Depends on the TLD. For .uk domains, 123reg. However, for .com/.nets etc, most UK registrars charge way too much.
I use dynadot.com for .com/.nets. They're quite cheap, and have multiple payment options.

Just to point out that fasthosts and ukreg are the same company. Since ukreg are the domain registration arm of the fasthosts group and OP was only asking for domain names that's why I said UKreg. So this is essentially a seconding of my suggestion earlier.

    Thanks for the Replies

Which one would be best? I just want to register a Domain Name and nothing else.

    Many Thanks

Surely you will want to use the domain name for your web site? Or are you hoping to sell it on for a profit?

123reg is ggood as it is you who inputs the domain name server, so you can point it at any web space you own.
  • https://www.godaddy.co.uk for anything other then .co.uk if you want a .co.uk buy from https://www.1and1.co.uk

So I'm just looking get that in place before then.
  • I've gone with 123-reg.

Does anyone know how long they take, before registration is complete?

Do they send out anything in the post?

    Many Thanks
