Hi
Shortly be moving to new house that has three phone sockets downstairs...one in lounge, one in other reception room one in conservatory and one in main upstairs bedroom. Always had cable for phone and BB before so couple of questions:
Each socket will need a microfilter connected straight in to it? Then from the filter I could connect lounge for phone and sky+, one in other reception room for sky multiroom and possible wireless router (not sure yet!) and upstairs bedroom for phone and possible wireless router (not sure if here or downstairs as pc will be in other bedroom not near phoneline... any advice?). Think the one in conservatory will not be used but it will still need filter? So does all this seem feasible? With cable we have never had to worry about filters and phonelines! Any advice appreciated.

If you don't use that conservatory socket you won't need to put a microfilter there. Only those sockets that have telephony equipment connected to them will need microfilters. As for where to place the wireless router, best way to go about it is to see what the signal strength for the wireless connection is when router is in different spots throughout the house and go from there. The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0
