poor service from phone4u

I was in Cardiff today, and as I was walking down the street, a man from phones4u approached me and asked me about my mobile phone contract. I told him what phone I had and informed him that my contract with o2 was due to end this Tuesday. He said he would see if he could get a good deal for me. As I had time, I agreed.

Well, inside the shop, he passed me onto someone else, which was not a problem. I gave this other gentleman all my details, etc, etc. Then he offered me a deal which was more expensive than the one I am currently on and with less inclusive minutes and texts message!

Anyway, I told him it wasn't as good as my current deal and he said what do you expect for £15. Blah blah blah. Conversation basically ended with him telling me "not to trip on the way out", and not in a nice way

Has anyone had a similar experience?

    You SHOULD have tripped up.

And then claimed compensation!!!! And the world would be a better place.

    Hi,

If you really feel you were spoken to outline then make a complaint to head office as the individual/store will be penalised for poor customer service. Then next time they won't dare do that to anyone else.

I always avoid p4u like the plague :p if I show even the slightest bit of interest I get pounced on by their hungry salesman.

Having said that, although I think you should file a complaint about the salesman who treated you that way, I doubt they'll actually do anything about it as you cannot prove what he said to you :(

Just make sure you steer clear of them in future and spread the word so no one goes to them :)

    chocolateypie,

Although the actual sales person may get off lightly, the store will definitely be penalised as the company sees customers actually taking time to write in and complain about service a big issue.

Stores get customer service percentages which complaints will put a huge dent in. How long will it take to type up a short letter and send it off?

If you never take action you will never know!
