thankyou coupon mad. i had to seek my nephews assistance. letters all done , just need to post. 14th day 2morrow. can i leave out my details on my letter to smart parking? dont trust them. sriously you are sure they cant take me to court and send bailiffs? ive never been in debt. i never spend what i dont have! They need an address to reply. You really need a quick course on the legal system, not just for parking tickets.

You cant get a CCJ unless you are taken to court, lose the case and then don't pay.

Bailiffs can do nothing till then.

Debt collector letters can be ignored until you lose a case and don't settle.

Do try googling CCJ and bailiffs to set your mind at rest.

In theory, anyone could try taking anyone else to Court - but you are protected by the Equality Act 2010, as I have already explained; harassment of you is unlawful. And you do not have a fine nor a debt here.

Of course a random company can't just send bailiffs round without winning in Court first (which they would not be able to do!)!

I have a ticket from smart parking ltd. 19 may 2013. And even tho im disabled I received a parking ticket on my car. Even with proof that I have a disability car they are still trying to get me to pay the ticket. And when you say anything about its not legit im being told it is coz it a registered company and it was registered in Scotland so it stands. Sammy is your name and now I no your game.

Yes they are a registered company, I could also register a company called scammers are us ltd , would you think I would be an honest company ? No private company can give out penalties, they cannot fine you, and their charges certainly is not the loss to the landowner. So it's not a legitimate charge, more so if they are not cancelling the invoice because of a breach of the Equality Act 2010.

You don't use emotive words like 'you are not a legit company' or 'it's not a legit ticket', that's fairly pointless. We never suggest that.

Either do a complaint to the retailer like the one on page 1 of this thread, or perhaps a complaint along these lines:

I used to be a Disability Advice Manager and can tell you that this harassment of a disabled person is ILLEGAL under the Equality Act 2010.

dear coupon mad i sent my letters off to asda store manager, jonathan bottomley and smart parking and because im so stupidly honest i gave my correct name and address to smart parking. im really worried again now. i really cant afford any of their costs. what if i lose the case?

Lose the case ? ? Come on this is not going to go to court, it makes very little difference you've supplied your name and address. So by making complaints etc it doesn't mean that there is a case.

If this is a breach of the Equality Act 2010 you could bring a case against them not the other way around. Please follow the advice already given, you will not be paying this scam unvoice.

Come on this is fine, I would have given my real name & address in your shoes too. This charge will be cancelled I am sure even if you have to do a POPLA appeal.

hi how do i do a popla appeal? im nervously waiting for the their noteice lettters to come through. Also is there an easy way to get on to my own thread after logging in without going through the long winded process of goning through all the "parking fines, tkts section"?
