I think the data is being provided by the Land Registry because the same information shows on all the house price websites. I'm sure though that it's being entered in a different format to the one the Land Registry normally keeps their important data in.

The land registry supply the date directly to the websites, if it is wrong on these websites it is safe to assume that it is wrong at the land registry. I emailed the LR about a mistake I had picked up on one of these websites. They confirmed that it is wrong on their database and that these websites are supplied directly from them. They are helpful in correcting mistakes as "they take pride in the accuracy of their data".

Thanks for that, Silvercar. If it's not up by the end of May, I'll give them a call.

It could have great bearing my friend.

Have I not opened your eyes to the various wrongdoings that can occur in property dealings?

No, you haven't "my friend", my eyes were open well before you started posting your "advice".

I thought the purpose of this thread was to establish whether your flat "exists"?

    I wish you well Melissa.

But if you are concerned that some wrongdoing has taken place, we need to get to the bottom of it.

I shall speak no more of your flat.

Once again I have been denied a chance to educate those who wish to listen
as to the pitfalls which can await the unwary.

    Good luck my friend.

And I hope no flats are empty.
