This sounds like an awful situation! I like the idea of unity - if you all raise a joint complain the management will have to do what their paid to do and manage her!

Update - you're going to love this! She is off for 6 weeks due to her slipping on her back steps and breaking her foot! She is in plaster apparently! Perhaps she really HAS injured herself this time? I wonder which foot it is?

if staff were treated more like human beings by theese companys , then maybe people would be less likley to call in sick , my friend never had a day off sick for fifteen years, but she no better off than any of the one;s who have been off .i suffered a accident at work ,and have had a bit of sick leave ,but when the company under went a selection process ,guess who got the worst contract .they said it was due to my sickness record ,but it was there fault i was off ill . big company's need to see us as people not numbers I say if the weather is good this bank holiday then stuff work throw a sicky ,and spend some time with the people that really CARE ABOUT YOU .

People like her give people like myself who have up and down conditions (M.E. FMS, CFS, MS etc) a bad name! I think I would have been up on an assault charge by now!

The boss is off to visit her next week. Usually if you are off 4 weeks they do a home visit, but he is going to see her early. He has been trying to phone her but she is never in...how far can she go in plaster?

    OMG I don't believe it!
As you say maybe she is ill this time, its like she's been crying wolf, the time she is really off, her manager doesn't trust her so is trying to do a home visit early!

I hope she has a linking period in her sick pay so it runs out early (people who really need sick pay often don't get it because employers are worried everybody is like this women!).

what and screw everyone else? perhaps it was really your attitude that got you the worst contract and not your sickness
