Holiday Booking - Hotel Cancelled By Agent - Help!

  • You misunderstand, You can still book a single trip as soon as you book the holiday, even if the holiday is a year away, for the same price as if you wait until a month before. You are then covered for any unforseen circumstances that could effect your holiday in the time between booking and going. As it is you are only covered from the time you take out the insurance, which is an unnecessary risk that saves you £0.

If your wife was diganosed with a pregnancy related illness tomorrow which prevented you going, you have no cover and will lose everything you have paid out.

If you take out insurance today and that happens tomorrow, there is a good chance you will be covered.

Thank you. Everyday is a school day! I will do this tonight.

Good, honestly it's the first thing you should do as soon as you've parted with any money, you'll know next time :)

As above, as soon as you have spent anything on a holiday you are not prepared to lose then you should get travel insurance in place.

Make sure the policy you choose covers what you need it to as there is no one size fits all and you will need to make sure the pregnancy is covered. There is no easy way apart from reading the policy wording, but the links to travel insurance at the top of the forums is a good starting place.

I know it's a bit late for you now, but you have made 60 posts so have you never read any of the posts warning people about OTB and their sneaky tricks?
