When I receive documents that have been certified we either check the organisation registers or ring the individual who certified to check! If it was found to be fake then would take further action appropriate to fraud investigation. £10 charge would be the least of the applicants worries!
It's a shame more people aren't like you and don't charge!0 -
maybe some guy called same as you has done something dodgy some time ago and now they think you are him and need to double check you

Does this mean I was accepted?
It said it was the final stage, and they had to do it to confirm my identity.
Same thing happened to me, sent documents in but still rejected, that was 18 months ago.
RegardsI have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
I'd assumed it was Return of Post - never seen anyone try to persuade you to read beyond the title. Now I know to ignore such requests.sharpy2010 wrote: »I think its unnecessary to tell people to read on, they either we're going to anyway or they weren't, and telling them to do so isn't going to make any difference as to whether they will or not...loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

I just don't understand that... If it happened to me I'd be pretty !!!!ed off!
After all, the only things they can confirm from these documents are your Name, DOB and address. Assuming you prove who you say you are, how can any of this info effect their decision to lend? It's not like they can base a refusal on your name or your star sign!0 -
