If you don't mind another question - do you know if the smaller girls shoes called Isobel (white) will be going in the sale?
No probs & welcome to posting on MSE - its addictive you know!
Isobel Lauren - if thats the one you mean is not going into the sale.
There is a pretty style called Lady Penelope in pastel pink that is the same style as Isobel Lauren that is going into the sale - down to £12.
Also, if you want white then there are 2. Fusspot & Scrummy - both to £14.
The Isobel LAuren might go into the sale at a later date as its a summer colourSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Thanks for that, it was Isobel Lauren - will check out the Lady Penelope ones.
We bought Fusspot in pink about 3 weeks ago for our little girl and they have scuffed really badly and look terrible already so think I will give the white ones a miss.
If the Lady Penelope are the same style as the Isobel Lauren then hoping they will not mark so badly.
Thanks again for all your help.
Edit - just looked at Lady Penelope just they start at size 7. I should have mentioned that my daughter has very small feet and is only a size 3.5, so not too much choice in her size. Thanks for taking the time to reply.0 -

.
They are the same style. Lots of people who have this style stick to it as they all say it wears really well.
It might be worth taking your daughter in to be fitted in a pair a couple of days before the sales starts before it gets busy and then when the sale starts you can just pop in and buy them.
Thats what I get my sister to do with my niece and nephew.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Ladies shoes are a D for standard fit and an E for wide fit. Occasionally they make a more traditional ladies shoe in an EE fit for very wide feet.
They used to make more width fittings than this but I think reduced it because demand wasn't so high and the cost implication.
Thanks for your posts, Quackers, I'm finding them very informative. As regards widths, are shoes just getting wider? I always thought that a B was normal width, narrow was an A or AA, and Cs and Ds were wide. Anybody with an E, obviously had bunions!
I used to be able to get K shoes in AA, but they don't seem to be stocked anywhere near me now. Do they still make them?0 -
Hi, wonder if you could help me? My little boy is getting ready for another pair of cruisers (he's not showing any sign of walking yet) His current size is 5H; what size do cruisers go up to?
Unfortunately, I've had different Clarks fitters say different things about what to put him in next as some say the cruisers stop at size 5 and that he'd cope with a 'normal shoe'. I don't want to undo all the good footcare so far.
Is it true that the shoes with elastic are being phased out too? My little boy loves to undo velcro so any suggestions on the next pair he won't be able to undo!?
Thanks so much :j0 -
I'm guessing Pure Thought might not be in the sale as it's a summer shoe?0

No, K dont make AA fittings anymore. I'm presuming you've got a slim foot now
I think - and its only my thoughts & experience after 10yrs with Clarks - that feet are generally getting wider which is why they phased out the narrower fittings. Unfortunate for people with slim feet though.
D is classed as a standard fit and E wider. Generally, all Clarks shoes are a D & all K shoes are and E fitting or EE. Although, they are now starting to do some K styles in a D fitting.
I also think that people worry too much about what fitting they are. Years ago it was accurate. Now shoes are made in so many different countries and the styles vary so much that it really is a case of trying them on to see which fits best. I think thats why we can also be a different size each time we try shoes on. I've got shoes in sizes 5, 5.5 & 6 and they all fit but they are just made in different countries so fit differently.
Sorry - I'm waffling nowSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

Ok,
Cruisers do only go up to a size 5.
You will always get different fitters giving different opinions. We are all trained the same but naturally our own opinions will come into it at some point. Without seeing your son I wouldn't like to give an opinion but generally my opinion is that as long as the shoe is fitted well then it should do no harm to his feet. Trying some walking shoes on in the store will let you know instantly how he is going to cope in them. Some children will be fine - some it may hinder. Every child is different. Maybe you could have him fitted in some shoes, take them home & let him wear them around the house for an hour or 2. If you dont think he is going to get on in them then take them back for a refund. You have 28 days to get a refund as long as they have not been worn outside & are in good condition to sell again.
As far as I'm aware shoes with elastic are not being phased out - I've not read anything about it & I read everythingI might have missed something though - always possible!
Hope that helpsSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
