Car NCD cancelled after 2 years - advice

......the coop is 3 (my last policy expired in July 2010), which is perfect.
trying them for a quote as we speak .... Hopefully it'll be better a £1000 policy with no NCD!
and if the quote from the coop is ridiculous you *could* take out the policy and then cancel . Cancelling will generate a new NCB letter with todays date on it which you can then use to get insurance elsewhere. Obviously there will be a cancellation fee so do the sums0 -
According to AXA website:-
Your proof of No Claims Discount must:
• show your name as the policy holder
• show the number of years No Claims Discount you are entitled to
• be issued by your previous insurer in England, Scotland or Wales
• be earned on a private car, company car, fleet vehicle, motorbike or mobility vehicle
• be less than 24 months old if earned on a private car
• be earned in England, Scotland or Wales
• be earned on a full UK or EU licence
• not be currently used to insure another vehicle.
