Car NCD cancelled after 2 years - advice

Morning all,
i have recently bought a car after not driving since 2010. i never realised that most companies have a 2 year expiry on any NCD built up. therefore, i presume i have no NCD.
Any ideas which companies do not have this 2 year expiry (if any). Alternatively, any work arounds to drastically reduce my premium? (I've never had to make any claims if that helps ...)
thanks!

If you have some driving history - eg been driving a company car - you MAY be able to get some form of introductory discount. Try a High Street broker0

thanks for all your suggestions.
yes, Aviva is two years, but the coop is 3 (my last policy expired in July 2010), which is perfect.
trying them for a quote as we speak .... Hopefully it'll be better a £1000 policy with no NCD!0 -

try the AA, they can search their panel, and someone will give an intro bonus0
