3 say all I need to do is give them a PHONE CALL to cancel contract with 30 days noti
my contract will end 2nd of June and 3 have told me that all I have to do is ring them ont he 2nd of May and the contract will be cancelled on time. I repeatedly asked them whether they require it in writing, and they said NO! Just a phone call, and thats all!
Would just like to know, is this true? because the last thing I wana do is ring them on 2nd May and them telling me they need it in writing, which will take another few days for it to get there.
Thanks

Hi
If you are simply changing phone networks ask for your PAC number. This allows you to take your number to another network and when you register it with them (t-mobile or whoever) 3 will definatly cancel your contract.

If you've spoken to them and they've said that that's the case then it is most likely to be the case... you could always phone and speak to someone else about it to see if they confirm what the original person said.
It's not that unusual to be able to just phone and ask for your contract... saves them time and staff costs as the operator you speak to can just mark your account rather than someone having to open the letter etc.0 -
If you are wanting to keep that number then asking for the PAC code and porting it over to another network as mentioned by fluffy-duck would mean that 3 would have no choice but to end the contract on the date of the number transfer.
If you're not interested in keeping the number then just ring them. If you still have doubts (or for your own peace of mind) you could either e-mail or write to them as well as ring. That way if they say we never received the call (or the operator doesn't mark it on the system) then you could say well I wrote to you as well.
The easiest method for all concerned is just ring them and give in your 30 days notice. You could even ring few days later just to double-check that they are aware (more importingly marked it on the system).0
