Had enough of Virgin Home Media Broadband - Need a better service

Hello.
I've been with Virgin Media Home Broadband for 3 years now and it's been ok until the last month. I'm on 120mb package which I use for Xbox Live and heavy PC downloads and video streaming. Unfortunately, Virgins service has gone rubbish recently, I can't even watch any YouTube video at 240P without it buffering or stopping completely after 30 seconds. Any device I watch videos on has the same problems when using their Super Hub, and my devices don't have any problems when I use 3G internet Dongle. I checked many forums for fellow users experiencing the same issues as me. There's many users complaining about slow downloads and YouTube buffering videos at peak/off-peak times. Users claim videos are struggling to cache on Virgins servers? While, Virgin claim; there's no problem on their end?
Virgins service is massively over-subscribed and I've had enough of them! Can anyone recommend a really good fiber optic broadband provider with good fair usage policy and unlimited downloads.

There are none. Best alternative is FTTC VDSL, all the ISPs use the BT infrastructive sold commercially as Infinity. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

You have the Rolls Royce already, anything else would be a downgrade.0

OP - try asking what the problem is on the VM community forum - http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Up-to-120Mb-Speed/bd-p/100Mbspeed - read the stickies and post your power levels in your first post and you'll get an answer from the techs in about a week - the odds are it will be congestion in which case they'll give an estimated fix date which you should take with a hefty pinch of salt but it could be a fault too.0 -
You may be right. I have been with VM (NTL) since 2002. Right now I pay for 30meg BB and when I speed test I get over 29meg all the time. Very pleased to hear that I live in an area that isn't over subscribed. Thanks for the info.0

Anybody got an answer?
I'm sick of Virgin's hopeless cable too, I think I'm in an over-subscribed area too, sooo much buffering. 20meg my !!!!, I got faster when I was with O2 4meg adsl.
I love David Tennant but he lied to me about that.0
