Cancellation of vodafone?

Hi, I have been using my work mobile as a personal one now for over a year, its all above board as its a full contract etc with unlimited call/texts etc

I also have my own phone, I got it on an upgrade about 8/9 months back with a 24 month contract, its about 40 pounds a month with 10 to have a landline linked to it,

Does anyone know if there's a flat cancellation fee or how its worked out to see how much it'll take to cancel it?

Your fee will be ~[STRIKE]£40*8[/STRIKE] ~£40*15 Don't know about the landline.
Normally you get 1/6 discount ("no VAT").

The OP's contract has run 8/9 months (not 8/9 months to run), so the fee will be £40*16?

You pay the remaining months left on the contract. As you will not be receiving a service, you dont pay VAT on termination charges and you also get an additional 2% discount.

blimey, thought it would be a shocker, phoned them and they say 287 to end it now, feel a bit seen off as I haven't used the ruddy thing, guess a contracts a contract in this instance.

Sell the phone and use it towards paying off the contract.

When you get a 'free' phone with a contract it isn't free , the price is built into the contract so the phone still has to be paid for.
