Which BB to choose

Hello MSE's

I have recently moved in to a new place with the Fam:j and am looking to get BB. Ideally i would like just to get BB only as we only ever use our Mobiles as we have cracking deals with our Mobile providers. but having looking at various links from MSE boards it does work out cheaper to get BB and LL.

Being in Central london i have whole choice of BB Providers but who is the best value for money, ideally i would like Fibre optic broad band with speeds upto 38mb for downloads (even though i don't think we need that fast) as most of the use will be for webpages, email, alot of YouTube videos, some video streaming. (we had O2 BB in our old place which was fine and did all the mentioned above perfectly though a little laggy.

Sorry back to the point, i do not really want to spend no more than £20 a month on BB (including LL Price) and really don't want hassle the rubbish ISP. so who would you recommend?

Virgin cable offer stand alone broadband. What ADSL/VDSL broadband you can get is exchange dependent so you should do a search on Samknows to check out your LLU options.

Unless you go with VM cable then you cannot have ADSL broadband without a landline and paying line rental.

Thanks all for your help, and a little more advice and help on this would be greatly appreciated.

i have decided to choose either Sky or Virgin and would like your advice on which would be good in terms of CS (if i need to use), speed, reliability, Wireless excellence, and Value for Money :)

Sky have offered me a T.V, LL, BB all in for a very good £31.50 but the speeds are maxed at upto 16mb downloads (buts its totally unlimited, their marketing hype)

Virgin have offered on my advice as i only really need with them BB, a BB only deal with 60mb unlimited, superhub 2 router. for £22.50 for first 3 months and then £27.50 there after. i told them i did not need that fast and thought that 30mb would be more than enough for my family needs. he said that as its £22.50 for the first 3 months on 60mb deal i should do this and call them 3 months into the deal and ask them to drop me to the 30mb deal. that way i will only then have to pay £22.50 for the rest of term of the deal and get to keep the superhub2 router.

on the face of it sky does seem much better value for money, as i will be getting sky TV package anyway but the speeds on the fibre cable from VM is quite tempting.

    all opinions very welcomed.

    Many thanks

So why don't you look at getting fttc from Sky? Have you checked the ADSL speeds for your address at samknows?
