Look at what I have found:

"Kitchen Spammers:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s and The Kitchen Gangster
Over on the melanoma patients board, many of the new people signing up on this site are spammers employed by kitchen companies. I ban at least one a day, sometimes six or seven.

The main one is "solid wood kitchens" who have lots of websites, for example http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!s.com - phone number 01512 032 895. I phoned them to ask them to stop, but if anything the volume of spam went up. A look at the web shows that this is usual. There is no point in calling to complain to these people.

However, the person registered as responsible for originally registering the the domain is:

    "Hi.

Just popping in here in my defence. I am the aformentioned Aftab Ali of Sizzle Media, a web design company based in Manchester. Unfortunatly we have had a number of I'm a spammy ****er related domains registered on our reseller account for a client who has employed the services of a very dodgy SEO company. Unfortunatly for us these domain names we're mistakenly registered in our name rather than the client, who is another local web designer:

I can assure you that neither me, nor my business is behind any of these spam attacks. Sizzle Media are an established company that has never used any such tactics, and from a Google search you will see that we do more than our fair shair of genuine marketing, ethical SEO and have a reputation as such. These spamm attacks are just as damaging to our reputation as they are to your forums, and our clients websites and forums have also been targeted.

We have now corrected the domain ownership details but unfortunatly we have been dragged through the mud during this process.

You're not the first people to bring this up as I have had calls and emails from companies all over the world accusing me and Sizzle media of spamming their forums, even some voicemail death threats. So I do applogise for any inconvenience this has caused anyone but it was simply a domain registration mistake that has now been corrected. I can assure you that neither me, nor any of my staff have engaged in any such activities.

    Regards

If it was only that simple. We have had to go direct to Nominet to have the details changed as they are not our domains, not paid for by us or residing on our servers. Our issue is that we are listed as the contact details for these domains only, without our knowing until very recently.

    Did he now? In December?

If you Google "kitchen spam", you will see that they are hitting a variety of websites and no one seems to know what to do about it.

Some people say it is a bot from the far east, but a dodgy, dangerous kitchen provider called Vance may be the kitchen seller.

I am not sure whether this might help:

    "Dear Garmin

Please install a forum anti-spam mod. They are free and will virtually eliminate all these kitchen spam posts. The one you want hooks up with the https://www.stopforumspam.com spam database. Other VBulletin forums use it. I use the Invision Power Board version at my forums and get NO SPAM.

Pretty sure what you are after is here:

There has to be a team to cleanup the spammers like Google engine used to check the spam websites to eliminate them from SERPs.

The jury is still out on whether they are paid people or spambots, but they have been hitting US sites too:

"Re:Get Rid Of The British "Kitchen Peddlers" Mon, 05/6/13 6:55 AM (permalink)
Deleted ten kitchen peddlers today. They have a new technique. They stack them. You delete one and you think you got them. Right behind it is another and then another and then another. Gotta be some type of automated device with different IP addresses and different names.

Thanks to some who have flagged them. It took me a while to fine them.

    ...

we believe they originate in Indonesia, all use different IP addresses and different zip codes. We believe they are automated post since they attack so many forums. ..

Any way to contact their server?

Bombard them with a nasty virus?

Keep their phone number busy so they can't get real calls?

    Tell their mother?

Report them to the British authorities?

    They are trespassing. "

  • Hi all,

First of all let me apologise for the lack of feedback on this. The problem we have is this. The more information we give out, the more we aid spammers. We cannot always be as transparent as we would like.

What I will say is this. As long as we allow users to post there is no way to completely prevent spam. But there are ways to reduce it. We've looked at many, and use some. These work quite well. I appreciate that seeing a few spam posts might be annoying. But please bear in mind that there may have been a thousand attempted spam posts you didn't see.

We do understand though that seeing spam affects your enjoyment of the forums. We are always trying to keep it to a minimum. Please help us by clicking the Spam button whenever you see spam. Thank you.

The kitchen people are in a class of their own.

I squished a different person this morning who just posted once - something about business services I think.

Most soon give up when they realise their posts are not acceptable, but today the kitcheners were more prolific than ever: the more we report their posts, the more they keep coming.
