Contract ended but I've still to pay!

Looking for a wee bit of advice...

I had an 18 month contract with 02 that ended in January this year. I called the call centre overseas who advised me of end date (I had new orange contract and never used O2).

So I paid my final payment in January and nacelles the direct debit. They are now chasing me for 2 months payment as I never gave them 30 days notice...surely when a contract ends that's it!!

I told them I wasn't paying it and now I'm getting emails from Buchanan Clark and wells saying to contact them. What will I do!!

Sorry, but 18 months was the minimum term - the contract then goes onto a monthly rolling contract until cancelled with 30 days notice. Unless you can prove you cancelled, eg email, letter etc, then I'd pay up up or you'll find your credit file will take a hit, if it hasn't already!

PS This info will be in the small print somewhere!

A minimum term contract ends when it is terminated. It is terminated by giving 30 days notice of the termination (or requesting and using a PAC number).

Until you give those 30 days notice it isn't ended.

As above..... pay up fast and check your credit files to see if the missed payments have been recorded. It may be too late and your credit rating has already been trashed.
