Very quick help needed!! Dodgy ebay bidder

I am selling something on Ebay, Its currently just over £20....

The current high bidder has a feedback of 4.... 3 of which say non payment - avoid etc...(all within the last month) the latest one is fine so obviously payment received I assume. The 2nd bidder only has a feeback of 1..... which I don't really mind (everyone has to start somewhere!)

It only has an hour remaining on it, and if I cancel their bid, it will take the price back down to £10 (and its worth more than that)

What should I do? I'm worried as they are obviously a bit dodgy!! Its an electrical item and I'm worried they
a. win and don't pay and I have to sit there and wait for ages before I cancel and relist....
b. win, have it delivered and say there is something wrong with it (there isn't)

Anyone any advice?

You will just have to wait and see if they pay, you can open a non payment case after 2 days of auction end time

I had similar - a buyer won and had about 8 negitive comments in positive feedback, so I thought - no chance they will pay. I waited 5 days then thought I will send an invoice, as soon as I had done that - THEY PAID.

Maybe thats what they were waiting on - Maybe not, but they paid.

If they do pay, send it Special Delivery, or another trackable method such as a courier, to the address given on Paypal.

I had similar - a buyer won and had about 8 negitive comments in positive feedback, so I thought - no chance they will pay. I waited 5 days then thought I will send an invoice, as soon as I had done that - THEY PAID.

Maybe thats what they were waiting on - Maybe not, but they paid.

Yes I will send special, Im just worried now they will claim it doesn't work or something!

Personally I'd have just cancelled their bid and blocked them. I'd rather receive something for my item than go through all the rigmarole of non paying bidder forms, relisting the item, waiting again...

Best way of avoiding this situation is to start the item at the minimum price you're happy to receive for it, and then you wouldn't have had to worry about whether or not to cancel the bid from the dodgy bidder, you could have just gone ahead and done it, hence saving yourself a load of time and worry.

Hopefully, though, they'll pay and it will all be OK.

The best way of avoiding this situation is if ALL NPB were given a strike.

Even if the OP had started at the price they wanted, the NPB could still have won and there is NO saying the SCO would have accepted.
