They may not have come in to money, they are probably just looking for a 'return on investment' on £21,000 for 700 MCOL claims at £30 each.
How much time and effort is involved in setting up one single case on MCOL ? As it is all done on-line, could PE actually overload the 'system' ? If they spread their targets around England and Wales, would that overload any one court ?
If they spread their targets around E & W could they, to some extent, remain under the radar in terms of regional or national media coverage ?
The full glare of national media attention needs to focus on PE's latest tactics. It will set a very dangerous precedent for civil liberties if all PE ( an avaricious private company motivated by profit ) have to do is issue an ANPR ticket, backed up by the MCOL/POPLA, to ensure payment.
Is anyone in authority aware, or even the slightest bit interested in the scenario that a private company has taken out 700 court claims in one single day against members of the public ?0
