    PPS: I should have added if you reinvest the dividends automatically you get another share certificate every quarter, which is a bit of a pain, so I stopped doing that.

    from JoeCrystal's post, SVS looks like a cheap way to do that - £5.75 to buy + £15 to dematerialize = £20.75

    My latest dividends (Vanguard) appeared around the same day (31/05) as due albeit late in the afternoon. Tracking back I see that HL have always paid me a dividend on the correct payment date.
