Arg, trouble finding appropriate father day card

Fathers day is approaching and I thought I'd be organised and look for a card early, and none of them seem appropriate. Where are all the "you've been mostly useless but I still love you" cards?
How about "I don't like you, but I DO love you"? "We don't talk, but your still my Dad" maybe...
I don't speak to my father, I send him cards at Christmas, birthday and fathers day and send him the odd catch up email. We fell out years ago and I although have since made peace (I invited him to my wedding, and he came) but I really have no desire to fix things further, I send the cards to make us both feel OK! However, I really can't send one that says "best ever dad" or "dad of the year" or even "no1 dad"!!!
To cheer me up of this dank afternoon what would you suggest as a card for my, or your own(rubbish) dad?

There are pleasant enough cards out there which simply wish the recipient a Happy Fathers' Day without extolling countless virtues: Perfectly suitable for DH's father0

How about buying a blank card and putting your own message in it. You can write exactly what you wish to express to him without all the gushing mush that most traditional 'fathers day' cards spout. Far more sincere and shows some considered thought and feeling. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

Oh I know how you feel!
I had the greatest trouble finding a card that did not look like I was trying to rub his nose in it.."thanks for always being there" type stuff.
More neutral ones are available but it the internal struggle is hard.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

I view fathers day as an American import that wasn't around when I was young. So never send a card
(And yes I do have a close relationship with my dad)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

I always used to have this exact problem! None of my friends understood what the problem was, and its hard to explain. But the idea of sending something so specifically designed to be so affectionate and heart-warming to someone who you could take or leave just feels wrong.
I always used to resort to marisco's idea of buying a blank card. Something generic with a watering can or a dog on the front.
Mind you I don't even see/speak to my father anymore and this time of year is a lot less stressful these days!First home purchased 09/08/2013

I do blank card too.
For a start my parents would be outraged if they got a card with 'mum' or 'dad' on them ....they hate those terms.
Blank cards are a much simpler solution.0
