Hello all,
My car broke down today. I was considering replacing it next month anyway as the mot is due in August and it has been so pricey lately. It's done 120,000 miles, eep. Between my car breaking down at 8.25am and 13.15 I've managed to sell my old one and buy a new one! I wasn't really planning on the expense yet but my dad is loaning me the money so I don't have to pay hp costs. But it's an unplanned for expense. I collect my new car on TuesdayI've also got a loan car until then (well I need to collect it later). It is very important to me that I pay my dad this money back ASAP, so I will be working extra hard this weekend.
I like to make money

May have sold my car. We have two and this is just sitting sorn'd. If my friend wants it ill sell it for £2000 however if she decides against it I can probably get around £2500 selling it elsewhere. Wont be until July at the earliest though.
Also going to sell an old Dell laptop and a load of hair tools that I dont use. Need to knuckle down next month!0 -
Going to try and sell a few bits on facebook today, eBay still isn't working for me and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from not adding to my savings account! I need to save up for my car insurance in October, last year was just over £500 so this year I'm hoping for a LOT less as I now have a years no claims as a main driver. Actually, going to have a look now....
Aiming for £50 today on facebook, wish me luck
Woohoo, £306 for fully compI love having a little car, £20 tax for the YEAR too

£15 Amazon voucher from Toluna finally processed, plus used a £1.50 money-off fifteen quid spend at Iceland, so that's to add to the pot.:D
Doesn't look like I'll make target this month but then again I knew it would be tight what with being so busy. At least it's profit I didn't have at the start of the month, and wouldn't have had if I hadn't worked it!! :j
On the plus side, I've now FINISHED my degree - and got a First/Distinction (pending verification) so I'm chuffed to bits. Not bad for an old broad who hadn't seen the inside of a classroom for decades!
So now I'm trying to line up job interviews (not easy but they're out there somewhere!) and maybe even start to earn a living wage now. I guess the great thing about surviving on the poverty line for so long is that almost anything above it will feel like a small fortune!!:T
Well done and congrats to everyone this month for some rockin' totals! Going to nurse a summer cold this weekend and hope to get fighting fit for next week - see y'all on July's threat!NOV 2014 £151.74/£150 ... DEC 2014 £303.81/300 ... JAN 2015 £143.33/£150
