Which is nonsense, they cant refer to visits if a phone when a contract m as key absolutely no reference to them.
If they say they will waive the termination fees, which is your remaining line rental, then you're effectively being allowed to leave without charge. The termination fees include a portion towards the subsidised handset, by waiving these, they are giving you the handset, even though it was yours from the outset anyway.
Not fully understanding you but my guess is that the OP was being asked for the full cost of the phone as an alternative to a termination fee.
IE pay the full cost of the phone and we'll waive any line rental based termination fee, or pay the termination fee.
I take your point about the fee being waved, maybe that was a goodwill gesture after the phone is fully paid off as that's the way the OP write the conversation down.0
