IATA Delay Codes

I came across a reference to these elsewhere, had a look about for them and found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IATA_delay_codes

Are theseo btainable anywhere regarding specific flights and would they be of any use in the cases being discussed here?

If you could get your hands on them then probably yes. These codes are sent from the departure airport to the arrival airport but like most things airline related I think the public are kept very much in the dark.
