Really !!!!ed, tmobile staff have just added 3 more mobile broadband lines

I needed mobile broadband for work. I got the supprot staff to convert a out of contract sim card back into a mobile broadband (30 day coontract) sim.

I exaplined to them I needed it for work purposes and needed to occasionally get clients mobile broadand access too.

He asked me would I like some more sim cards in case I need it in future. I assumed he meant post more sim cards to my address so I can activate when I need them.

So I said yes - there was no doscussion on what ever of additional charges or the fact that I'll literally have three new contracts open in my name that I have to pay every month for.

Shock horror! just logged in to my tmobile account and have have 4 live mobile broadband accounts. All in contract and three of the expire 29th June 2013.

WHat are my rights? Am I entitled to cancel these under distance selling regulations without penalty? I have no idea why they would just add these contracts to my account without clearly stating what they're doing.

It wasn't even like he talked me through the cost of these mobile broadband lines or even mentioned that I'll be paying £30 extra a month. He just added them on like he was giving away free sim cards.

I'm irate and wanted to contact support but they're closed now - reopen at 8am.

If it's a business contract, I think DSR don't apply.

it wasn't sold as a business contract. it was a personal contract that was loosely related to business.

e.g. I see the plans when I log into my personal tmobile account.

Then I don't see any reasons for DSR not to apply. Just don't start using the new sims.

hmmmm reactivating an old sim like you did could be seen as an upgrade which could cause you issues...

The problem was the new sims added, not the old sim reactivated.

yes grumbler got it right. The reactived sim was what I asked for, the three new lines were not - and I did not want them either.

It's times like these when you realize that stuff like DSR are a Godsend, because companies have to issue refunds no questions asked. I got it sorted - just really peeved off when I saw that I had 3 more lines in my name,
