Whereabouts are you in the country?
I'm happy to donate my perfectly good oven with gas hob if you're anywhere around my way, as I have a new kitchen coming in a couple of weeks.Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -
Try https://www.freecycle.co.uk and sign up in your area.
Then don't be afraid to ask for what you need.
All the stuff you need is often given away on these sites.
When you start getting some stuff together don't forget to thank people on the site. I know you will want to do that anyway but it really helps motivate people to carry on giving on the site, plus if you come back and ask for more people remember you for showing gratitude.
Good luck, I'm glad you've at least found a house.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
we have some charities here that (if you get certain benefits) you can be refered to for such things like furnture and carpets etc... they're not new goods but anything is good enough when you have nothing, pop to your local CAB/advice centre and ask if theres anything similar in your area or like the previous poster said freecycle (use local library pc )mustn't grumble :cool:0

sorry but if i had just been awarded a house after being homeless , i don't think the above 2 items would be high on my list of priorities, i consider those to be non essential items for my house.
I'm not belittling your plight - i just don't understand it .
have you tried the local papers , charity shops or the free ads paper or maybe even ebay ?"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
happy travels !!

Just in case your post was genuine and not jugemental.
I have in the past lived without a fridge and washing machine however at that time could not have done without phone and internet access for work and family reasons.
Different people will have different priorities based on their personal circumstances. Hope this will help you "understand"0 -
As Martin says 'Please be nice to all MoneySavers', it will help the original poster if you post helpful tips.;)

This charity sells refurbished second hand furniture. The people that work for them are actually homeless. Have a look and see if they have a workshop near you.0 -
Wish I could help, have you tried the Loot for whatever area you are in, there are lots of things free to good home in there, good luck0
