****slopes into diary and dusts the cobwebs off*****
There have been a few changes recently and I hadn't felt like updating my diary as everything was up in the air. Now things have settled down I feel ready to start again of the MFW journey.
I decided to take my redundancy earlier than planned so I am spending some time with DS and working out what I want to do.
This is going to allow me sometime to refocus on my frugal ways and also concentrate on my health as I need to get fit and improve my diet.
My targets for the rest of 2014 are:
1) clear the secured loan
2) don't tough any of my (small) redundancy payout
3) add £3000 to my savings/end the year on this balance after clearing secured using redundancy and other savings/cut backs
4) clear the 2 cc approx £3000
5) make the first full capital and interest mortgage payment by the end of the year
6) clear £400 owed to family for home improvements
7) find a job I really want to do and feel passionate about
I am going to spend the next couple of weeks catching up on all the jobs/appointments I have missed this year, getting fit again and losing my flabby belly. I also want to spend more quality time with friends and family who have been neglected a bit due to work pressure.
I'm off to write a to do list for tomorrow and a mini goal list for June:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Just lost my post:mad:
I made inroads into the layer of crud in the house but still need to do more today. I also cleaned the kitchen floor, cleared a clutter zone and made a couple of appointments.
Small TT done to the holiday account.
Plans for the weekend:
1) finish tidying up and put cases away - nearly there
2) join council gym - done, 3 months free and no payment until sept
3) do last of laundry and line dry as the sun is shining - 2 loads left
4) tweak June meal plan and write a shopping list - done
5) food shop - half done
6) bike ride or walk with DH and DS - 10k planned for this morning
7) get cash out as I am going to run an envelope system for June as it really worked for me the last time I tried it - done but need a bit more
8) decide on the best place for my current savings and redundancy money to live, having never been a great saver I don't have clue - working on it
9) use my gift card for a meal out with DH and DS (had it since March) done and only £1 over and was lovely
I have decided to move my overpayment pot from the mortgage to the savings/ISA pot as I can earn more interest and I want to be able to see exactly what I have saved to pay off the secured loan.

DS (4) woke us up this morning to tell us it was a beautiful day outside:A
We are going for a 10k walk this morning and then will spend sometime in the garden and I need to weed the gravel drive. I will need to do a small shop but DH reminded me yesterday that he is away 2 nights next week so I will only need a bit of fruit, bread, ham and milk.
I am planning to be up to date with the housework/laundry by the time DH gets back so I can get back into a routine at last.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Morning
It is cool and breezy here today. Had a lovely walk yesterday but power walked the last 2 miles and overdid it a bit. We were shattered last night so an easy tea was made while DH did a lovely job tidying the garden.
DH is away until late Wednesday night so I am aiming to have 3 NSDs and be uber frugal. I don't have much diesel so will need to plan my trips as need to drive to the gym and job centre but will walk to he bank.
I have two returns to make but one is to the city so will do these at the end of the week and it is looking like DH will need some new work shirts. Why they make them wear white in their dirty work environment I will never know.
Today's tasks are:
Walk dog
Book gym classes for this week - done
Last 2 loads of laundry - done
Sort and put away as much clean laundry as poss
Put away my holiday shoes - done
Vacuum everywhere - all done except DS room
Clean downstairs - done
Cancel DS nursery place - done
Book docs appointment - done
Close share save for old employer - done
Open savings accounts when made a decision;) - done
I am not committing to doing ironing but may do a bit.
Off to do the banking, finish my tea and get cracking:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
