E2Save- 30 days notice to cancel?

Hi,

Didn't want to start a new thread..but hey.

Had my contract with e2save for 2 years now on O2. Wanted to change to T-Mobile today but e2save rep told me I would have to cancel my contract first by giving 30 days notice via snail mail and then will get my PAC code.

Anyone know if this is true or I'm just being messed about? I can't seem to find it written in my T&C on my original invoice.

You do always have to give 30 days notice, but you should be able to do this over the phone, and then they'll either text or mail you the PAC code.

In most cases companies/networks do not insist on you giving them notice in writing, but e2save might have their own policies regarding this.

(afaik there's an e2save rep floating around this forum, you could always ask her to confirm this)

Thanks chocolatey. Yes, I've received my PAC by giving notice over the phone before so that's why this is certainly puzzling.
Thing is I was quite glad to change to T-Mobile through e2save but this particular rep insisted I had to go through this procedure. Either that or he just didn't see enough money in it for him and couldnt be bothered because I asked him to match another companies deal. You certainly get the feeling that you're always talking to a money hungry sales person on the end of the phone that's been given the 'sell sell sell' seminar on the wipe board that morning.

Incidentally when I first called, I just asked for my PAC code and was supposed to have been connected to customer services by the initial receptionist. It rang a while and then I heard a tone followed by "Thank you for your message...goodbye" Hmmmmm:rolleyes:

e2save has nothing to do with cancelling your contract.

To cancel a contract or request your PAC you need to contact your service provider (O2 CPW) and not the dealer that connected you (e2save).

A contract is cancelled by giving 30 days notice OR requesting and using a PAC.

Unfortunately, O2 CPW now insist that PAC requests are put in writing. If dealing with O2 directly a PAC request can be made over the phone.
