Getting all my jobs done before i start my new job next week, haven't worked since September so will be bit of culture shock, plus the need to wear something other than track suit trousers, tee shirt and trainers.

Thanks to you and everyone else for asking, she is home and ok just had her dinner, her insulin has been dropped by 2 units a time to see if that makes a difference, she has to go back next week for the same. She is sulking a bit now because I left her :rotfl:0 -
Evening all,
Have been to the funeral for our close family friend who passed with Motor Neurone Disease today. Very sad. It was odd for me because the service was in the hall at my old primary school. Saw lots of people I haven't seen for years and it was a very strange feeling being there again. Steven and I were in the same year, he was just 46. The music was beautiful and my oldest brother did so well and said some beautiful words, he was much braver than me. I couldn't have got through it without breaking down. He was given a good send off, a good old fashioned northern knees up.
Not much else really, neither dh or I are sure if we want any tea, think it may just be a sandwich.
It's been wet and dull all day here, what has happened to the summer.
At least my new condensing boiler is working beautifully, I'm so pleased we won't have to worry about it this year.
Had a letter for my pre op on Friday, not looking forward to it at all but looking forward to being sorted out.
Halight you must hear something soon, surely
Redruby, glad the little dog is ok.
Judy hope your ok,
Nepenthe glad the exam seemed to be ok:D
Well off to put my pjs on, lets hope the sun comes out tomorrow.
I've just finished my new Nora Roberts so need to find something else to read.
My cousins husband has a bistro and has invited all the family up for a meal next Friday, a special night, won't cost much and we take our own drinks so shall look forward to that.
Have a good evening all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

hi everyone.
just catching up reading thread...hugs to all who need them or in pain or feeling sad, we sure need each other and l feel lm among friends on here.
what did my day bring,well...even though its been raining all day, lm happy, happy happy..Went to see my eye dr today to see if my glaucoma is under control as was put on really strong eye drops 3 mths ago to get pressure down a large amount...and hes so pleased, its worked:)
lm so happy as even though lv already lost a quarter of my peripheral vision in my left eye and was dreading the drops would not get it under control and that l need a op..but all's well, its under control and no side effects so far from strong drops, that lv read others have had with these.
He actually noticed how well l was looking and l told him lm taking charge more of my health and feel good but still having leg nerve pain & weakness which l think lm never going to get a cure for. So to celebrate hubby came with me to help from dr we went to town and l treated myself to a load of new clothes as lv lost weight.Non of my other trousers fitted me so l treated myself to some lovely leggings, jumper, blouse, some make up , jewellery and pj's. So tonight to round the day off lm treating my self to a gin and tonic:beer:
take care everyone, hope tomorrow is a good one x0 -

My tip is to try selling individually the ones from smaller towns and resorts.
For example, there's loads of cards of Blackpool and Bournemouth or Edinburgh and the mountains of Wales but not many from that tiny seaside resort, or the non seaside small town
For the more common cards, or boring pictures of mountains, you could put them tighter as bulk lots.
Good postcards are popular on eBay.Early retired - 18th December 2014
