This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Morning all:j:j
Tipping down of Rain here, Rained all day here yesterday too! Very heavy at times too,
Well fed up I am,
I did phone the Hospital yesterday, Got the normal replay of no date yet. My GP did tell me last week that he would also speak to them yesterday, and Give me a ring about it. I don't know if he did phone them yesterday or not, As he has not phoned me. Maybe he will do it today? Don't know. Know even think it will do any good anyway.
My wife's not at work today. We were going to take the Kids to the black country Museum for the day, As we have our membership and it would not cost us anything. But as its an open air Museum and with the weather the way it is. I don't know if we will be going or not now.
If we don't go then I'm not sure what we will be doing today,
Well I hope that you all have a great day what ever your getting up to.
Iv only read half of yesterdays daily, So I'm off to read the rest of that.
Enjoy :j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Morning everyone
Halight - hope you get the news about your op soon x
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Cloudy, dull, dreich and raining here this morning - it's been raining from sometime during the night and doesn't look like it's going to stop!
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was chicken topped with stuffing and then wrapped in bacon and oven roasted - makes a really tasty meal and something a bit different, served mash, carrots, broccolli and peas with it, yoghurts/treats from the tins for dessert. Tonight we will be having sausages.
Work yesterday was busy as predicted - was completely dead for the first hour to hour and a half then continually busy until we closed. Today will probably be some of the same - we'll see. Only working until lunchtime, then the flooring and blinds are being fitted in my bathroom and it will be finished (except 1 little job that I need to call the tiler back too). Need to crack on with the washing, drying and ironing, housework etc, organise food shopping list and menu for next week, will need to do some baking etc too.
Looking at the weather I'm going to have to use the TD to get it dry - I really try not to use it anymore as the cost is ridiculous but have so much washing from the weekend I really need to crack on with it. Forecast does look better here for Friday so will do several loads between now and then - hopefully I can then get anything left line dried and I'll change all the beds too.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Halight, I hope you hear soon.
Molly I hope you are ok. Hugs to Hilly, PP, Judi and anyone else in need.
It was sunny earlier but clouding over now, not sure what we are doing today, we may drive to the village where DD1 is hoping to move to, in case I need to go and help with the move that way I'll know where I'm going, I'm useless at map reading & can get lost in a carpark without my sat nav & DD2 has that at the moment.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Good Morning all,dry at the moment but the wet stuff is due later.I am off to I$ea this morning with eldest DD and DGD Holly.
DD has never been and so I am riding shotgun on her purse:)afterwards we shall have a wander around Lakeside and a shufti at the shops and then lunch from DD with her Bella Italia vouchers that we didn't use in April.
So comfy shoes for me I think.I am still dosing myself up as my cold is still around, but it won't stop us having a good day.
Tomorrow youngest DD and I and the boys are going to the O2 music museum as she has yearly tickets so a picnic is all we need as our entrance is free.
Right time for a shower and a cuppa and maybe some wholewheat toast and honey(lots of energy required for Lakeside)
Have a good day chums whatever you are doing

Morning! My laptop deal with another patient fell through, alas, so it's back to eBay. Not so old-style of me.
I have a French exam today, so I've been spending most of the morning prepping. I'm skipping today's hospital shopping trip to ward off the temptation to buy anything...0
